Road Closure Coker Road at Kelly Road

The City has closed Coker Road at Kelly Road as this road is now unstable. Motorists should not travel on water covered roads and motorists are encouraged to use an alternative route if at all possible to avoid the unstable roads.
City Recommends Evacuation for Flooding Zone Areas

The City of Kenora is recommending that residents who live in the flooding zone areas evacuate their homes immediately. Repairs have been taken at the intersection of East Melick Road and Essex Road to ensure that people can evacuate.

The City is improving service delivery through investment in modernization by offering a new option for property owners to receive their interim and final tax bills.
Property owners can now choose to receive their tax bills electronically. To sign up, complete the one-page form found on our Property Taxes page. Flood Repairs Update

The City’s roads division continues to work with the challenging water levels.
The Roads division, with assistance from local contractors, will be working on the East Melick and Essex Road intersection tomorrow. Traffic will still be permitted through the area, but please expect delays.
As a reminder, sand bags and sand is available for City residents at the Kenora Fire Hall, Station 1 and the sand depot located near the Operations Centre.

Sandbags Available for City Residents

As the City continues to address the flooding challenges on our rural roads, we have sandbags available for City residents to pick up and fill.
City residents may pick up sandbags at Fire Hall Station 1, 100 Fourteenth Street North. There is also sand available just down from the Fire Hall on Fourteenth Street North on the north side of the street near the Operations Centre.
