In partnership with Destination Northern Ontario, the City of Kenora and the Township of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls, are encouraging visitors to the region once again with the launch of new regional marketing initiatives for the summer and fall of 2022. Pinecone Drive Condition Advisory

Please be advised that the condition of Pinecone Drive has deteriorated, causing the shoulder of the road to fail.
Motorists should be aware of this hazard and be cautious and slow down when driving on Pinecone Drive.
City crews are setting up barriers along the shoulder of the road and continue to monitor the conditions.

Council Approves 2022 Operating Budget

Today, Council approved the 2022 operating budget. The 2022 capital budget was approved on December 21, 2021. The budget includes a number of critical projects initiated by staff, Council and community input.
The 2022 budget process started with significant increases to the levy requirement and through many changes by the management team and Council, the levy requirement was brought down to a 2.92% increase over the 2021 budgeted tax levy requirement.

Traffic Delays Anderson Branch Road West of Carlton Road

Contractors will be completing work to raise the road surface in anticipation of rising water levels on the Anderson Road just west of the Carlton Road intersection.
The locations will be on Anderson Branch and Carlton Road Intersection area starting today, Monday, May 16, and at the north side of Alcock Lake on Carlton Road starting Tuesday, May 17.
Truck traffic will be using Carlton Road.
